Middletown Christian Schools Construction Projects
Phase I – Preschool
A new preschool building has been constructed as a free standing facility located adjacent to the existing building on the hill. This building meets educational standards and building codes. It is equipped with a secure parent reception area for the family’s convenience with interior and exterior play areas.
Phase II – Jr. High Renovation
The former preschool area at Grace Baptist Church has been renovated by combining five rooms into four and remodeling the office area to meet the needs of the middle school.
Phase III – Main Building
A gymnasium complete with locker rooms and a music room are included in this phase. Computer labs, the elementary wing and middle school wing. Parking lots and drives will be added for convenience in accessing the facility.
Phase IV – High School, Elementary Music and Life Skills Department
- The elementary music room will provide the needed room for all levels of music and band.
- The Life Skills room (modern day home economics) will feature group cooking areas complete with stoves, ovens, refrigerators, sinks and a dishwasher. There will be counter space specifically designed for sewing machine stations as well as tables and desks for classroom work.
- The high school wing will be a state-of-the-art high school complex. Some of its many features will be a computer lab, modern art department (with over 1200 sq. ft. of space complete with a kiln room) and a large storage area. The new biology and chemistry labs will feature up-to-date scientific stations and equipment. Seven classrooms and a teacher’s workroom will complete this 14,500 sq. ft. area.
